Temporary (Student) Jobs
Projects include field trials on farms and experimental stations throughout New York State. You will assist in the set-up of field trials, soil sampling, soil fertility and crop monitoring, harvest, sample processing, laboratory analyses and data processing. You will become familiar with all aspects of applied soil fertility research and be exposed to agricultural extension through participation in field days. No prior experience is required. However, applicants should be detail oriented, team oriented, and have an interest in nutrient management and soil fertility applied research and extension, wishing to broaden their research background both in the laboratory and in the field.
Undergraduate Research Project
Undergraduate students with an interest in applied research and extension in soil science and nutrient management are more than welcome to apply to join our program. Summer jobs are fulltime but there are also possibilities for projects year-round. We can work around your schedule. Workstudy, hourly jobs and credit-based study projects are among the possibilities. Applicants should be highly motivated, detail oriented, have an interest in nutrient management and soil fertility research and wish to broaden their research background in the laboratory and in the field.
