Research Statement

I am interested in improving food systems sustainability through the development and implementation of science-based strategies that enhance opportunities for farmers to run efficient and profitable businesses, that contribute to rural development while protecting the environment. My current research focus on advancing dairy systems sustainability, with a special focus on environmental aspects including land, water and nutrient use efficiency, biodiversity and greenhouse gas emissions.
